Salivary Gland Tumors
A customised minimal invasive treatment approach is considered for treating salivary gland tumor irrespective of benign or malignant nature.
Salivary Gland Tumors
Saliva-secreting salivary gland comprises a pair of 3 major parts that are present near the neck, throat, in the floor of the mouth (below the tongue) and lining of the inside of the mouth. Any part of the salivary gland developing cancer is considered a rare event.
And most of the time, these tumors are benign in nature rather than malignant. Depending upon the nature, size, and stage of the tumors different types of treatment like surgery, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, etc., are considered. Dr Anand Subash offers surgical treatment and considers other options too for preserving the functioning of facial nerve and asthetics.
