Sinus Tumor Surgery

Sinus tumour surgery is a surgical procedure to remove benign or malignant growths in the sinus and nasal cavities. It is typically performed by a specialised Head and Neck Oncologist in Bangalore or an ENT surgeon trained in endoscopic techniques.

You may be advised to undergo sinus tumour surgery if you have persistent symptoms like nasal blockage, facial swelling, frequent nosebleeds, or vision problems that are linked to tumours in the sinuses. Proper diagnosis includes imaging tests and biopsy.

Many sinus tumours can be removed using minimally invasive endoscopic methods that access the tumour through the nostrils, reducing trauma and speeding recovery. In some cases, open surgery may be necessary based on tumour size and location.

Endoscopic sinus tumour surgery offers advantages such as no external incisions, less pain, reduced scarring, and faster return to daily activities compared to traditional open surgery.

Recovery time varies depending on the surgical approach, but patients who undergo endoscopic procedures often return to normal activities within 1–2 weeks with proper care and follow-up.
